The "Lifelong Artist"

My journey with art began in high school in England, where my early passion nearly led me to art school. Instead, I followed a calling into a nursing career defined by observation, empathy, and care. During that time I focused on many arts and crafts from cross stitch and bead work to patchwork and quilting.  All of which I enjoyed until in my later years I found painting!

I retired a few years ago and began to explore the world of watercolour and I found my passion! Today, my practice has expanded into various mediums. When I’m not in my studio, my life is full as a mother, grandmother and volunteer.  I find my inspirations through my travels including my frequent visits to England to see family and the beautiful area where I live in the mystical Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne.

My paintings genesis are either from pleinaire, photographs or online lessons in which I have tried to ensure that at least 20% of my painting is my own interpretation.
